MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES -OF THE- UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS December 11,1917 The quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at Hotel LaSalle, in the city of Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon on Tuesday, December n , 1917. The following members were present: President Abbott, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Taggart, Mr. Trimble, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson. President James was present. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of October 20, 1917. The minutes were approved as printed on pages 535 to 602, above. COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE RUMORS OF DISLOYALTY Mr. Trimble presented the following report of the committee appointed to investigate rumors of disloyalty on the part of members of the faculty: TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS Your Committee appointed to investigate and report concerning rumors of disloyalty among the members of the Faculty, respectfully reports as follows: We convened at the Board Room, Administration Building, Urbana, at 8:45 o'clock a.m. November 27,1917, all being present. There were also present, Vice President Dean David Kinley (in the absence of President James); Mrs. Mary E. Busey, Trustee; W. H. Kerrick, Government agent at Bloomington, and Charles M.
