APPOINTMENTS MADE BY T H E PRESIDENT OF T H E UNIVERSITY

The Secretary presented also for record the following list of appointments .made by President James:

Allison, D. M., Associate in Architectural Design, at a salary of two hundred dollars ($200) a month, beginning when he reports for duty and continuing until July 1, 1918. (October 12, 1917*). Anders, Edwin, Assistant in Political Science for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, at a salary of five hundred dollars ($500) for the ten months. (October 9, 1917). Andrews, J. B., Instructor in Farm Oraganization and Management, College, and First Assistant in Farm Organization and Management, Station, for one year beginning September 1, 1917, at a salary of seventeen hundred dollars ($1700) a year. (September 2J, 1917). Andros, S. O., Instructor in Charge of Bombing and Assistant Director of the School of Military Aeronautics, at a salary of two hundred dollars ($200) a month, beginning August 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice. (August 6, 1917). Armstrong, E. K., Associate in Pediatrics for the academic year beginning September 1, 1917, without salary; this appointment superseding his former appointment as Instructor in Pediatrics. (September 27f 1917). Austin, J. C, Assistant in Classics, on one-fourth time, for five months beginning September 1, 1917, at a salary of thirty dollars ($30) a month, and on full time for the five months beginning February 1, 1918, at a salary of one hundred dollars ($100) a month. (October 10, 1917). Badger, Eunice, Student Assistant in Physical Training for Women for ten months beginning September 1, 1917, at a salary of twenty dollars ($20) a month. (September 8, 1917). Barber, Irene, Radiographer and X-Ray Operator, at a salary of sixty dollars ($60) a month, beginning October 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice, but not in any case without reappointment beyond July 1, 1918. (October 11, 1917). Barnett, E. J., Assistant in Pediatrics, for one year beginning September 1, 1917, without salary. (October 19, 1917). Beach, F. H., Cashier, at a salary of eleven hundred dollars ($1100) a year, beginning September 1, 1917, and continuing until further notice, but not without reappointment beyond August 31, 1918, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission; this appointment superseding his former appointment at $900. (September 4, 1917). Beaver, jfessie M., Stenographer, grade II, in the office of the Dean of the College of Engineering, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month, beginning September 24, 1917 and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (September 24, 1917)*The date in parenthesis is the date on which the appointment was made by the President of the University.
