MEETING QF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

-OF THE-

UNVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

August 28, 1917

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Tuesday, August 28, 1917, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on August 21, 1917.

On the call of the President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, on Tuesday, August 28, 1917, at 12 o'clock noon, to consider such matters as the committees of the Board and the President of the University may submit, and such other matters as may be duly presented.

When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Taggart, Mr; Ward, Miss Watson. President James was present. In the absence of the Secretary, Miss Watson acted as Secretary pro tempore,

MINUTES APPROVED

The Secretary pro tempore presented the minutes of the meeting of July 31, 1917. On motion of Mr. Taggart, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 449 to 505, above.
