FEE IN HOUSEHOLD SCIENCE 22 (8) A recommendation of the Council of Administration that a fee of $5 be established for the summer session course in Home Nursing and First Aid, known as Household Science 22. SEMI-CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION POSTPONED (9) A report made by the Committee on Publications of the Semi-Centennial Celebration Committee, consisting of Professor H. S. V. Jones, chairman, Professors H. W. Mumford, H. H . Stoek, and E. W. Washburn, and Mr. H. E. Cunningham. This report contains a recommendation that the University enter on a somewhat elaborate scheme of publications of valuable scientific works in connection with the celebration of the Semicentennial Anniversary of the opening of the University. The report is a most thoro and valuable one, and under other circumstances should certainly be approved. O n m o t i o n of M r . W a r d , t h e c e l e b r a t i o n of t h e S e m i - C e n t e n nial w a s postponed until a m o r e favorable date, a n d t h e P r e s i d e n t of t h e U n i v e r s i t y w a s a u t h o r i z e d t o m a k e s u c h a d j u s t m e n t s in a g r e e m e n t s a n d contracts as m a y be necessary to c a r r y out this resolution. DEGREES FOR MR, I. B. OLIN AND MR. HARRY W I L E Y (10) A -recommendation of the University Senate that the degree of Bachelor of Arts be conferred at the end of the summer session on Mr. Irwin Blaine Olin (College of Commerce and Business Administration) ; and that the degree of Bachelor of Science be conferred on Mr. H a r r y Wiley (College of Engineering).

On imotion of Mrs. Evans, this recommendation was approved.

CHANGES IN LABORATORY FEES (11) A recommendation from the Council of Administration for certain changes in laboratory fees necessitated by the dropping, extension, shortening, and addition of courses. June 20, 1917 Dr. Edmund J. James, President,

DEAR MR. PRESIDENT:

At its meeting of June 19, 1917, the Council of Administration voted to recommend to the Board of Trustees the approval of the following changes in laboratory fees proposed by the heads of the several departments concerned, and recommended by the deans of the colleges to which those departments belong. All these changes are in the nature of minor adjustments to changes in the organization or method of work in the several departments; no question of new policy is involved. Bacteriology 1, $6 (new) * Bacteriology 5a, $7.50, to be omitted Bacteriology 20, $7.50, to be substituted for Bacteriology 19, $7.50
