The Secretary presented also for record the following list of appointments made by the President of the University to fill vacancies:

Blatt, M. L., Instructor in Pediatrics in the College of Medicine, for the academic year 1916-17, without salary. (January 9, 1917).* Campbell, George, Student Assistant in Chemistry in the College of Medicine, for the first semester of the academic year 1916-17, to give six hours' service each week, at a remuneration of fifty dollars ($50) for the semester. (January 16, 1917). Colgrove, Vivian G., Cataloger in the Library, from February 1, 1917, to August 31, 1917, at a salary of seventy dollars ($70) a month. (January 18, 1917). Cooke, W. E., Technician in the Bacteriology Laboratory of the College of Medicine, from December 1, 1916, to June 13, 1917, with salary at the rate of forty-five dollars ($45) a month. (December 19, 1916). Dame, Louis, Student Assistant in Operative Surgery in the College of Medicine, for the second semester of the academic year 1916-17, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($0.50) an hour for not to exceed sixty-four hours' service. (January 15, 1917). Davies, R. E., Student Assistant in Histology in the College of Medicine, for the current year, with remuneration at the rate of fifty cents ($.50) an hour. (January 9, 1917). Ford, H. L., Student Assistant in Chemistry in the College of Medicine, for the first semester of the academic year 1916-17, to give six hours' service each week, at a remuneration of fifty dollars ($50) for the semester. (January 16, 1917). Galbraith, John, Laboratory storekeeper in the College of Medicine, at
