H., Assistant in Chemistry, from November 16, 1916, to June 30, 1917, with salary at the rate of fifty dollars ($50) a month, this superseding his former appointment as Graduate Assistant. (November 14, 1916.) . , Oliver, Julia A., Department Clerk, Rank II, in the Registrar's Office, at a salary of forty-five dollars ($45) a month, beginning October 1, 1916, and continuing until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission. (October 16, 1916.) Parmelee, C. W., Professor of Ceramic Engineering, beginning September i, 1916, at a salary of thirty-five hundred dollars ($3500) a year. (September 6, 1916.) Phelps, J. M., Assistant in English, for the academic year beginning September 1, 1916, at a salary of twelve hundred dollars ($1200) for the year. (September 2, 1916.) Pilot, Isadore, Student Assistant in Pathology in the department of Research Medicine of the College of Medicine, from October 1, 1916, to June 13, 1917, at a salary of one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) for the entire period, payable monthly on the certificate of Dr. D. J. Davis that the work has been performed. (October 4, 1916.) Powell, Park, Assistant in Romance Languages for ten months beginning September 1, 19.16, at a salary of one thousand dollars ($1000) for the period. (August 1, 1916.) Powers, E. B„ Fellow in Pharmaceutical Research under the direction of Dr. J. H. Beal for the academic year 1916-17, without stipend from the University. (October 23, 1916.) Price, Fanny E., Reviser and Assistant in the Library School, for nine months beginning Qctober-i, 1916, or as soon as she reports for duty, at a salary of seventy-five dollars. ($75) a,month* .(October 7, 1916.) Prichard, Walter, Research Assistant in the Illinois Historical Survey, on one-half time, for nine months beginning October 1, 1916, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month. (September 18, 1916.) Quick, Nan, University Stenographer, Rank II, in the Business Office, at a salary of fifty dollars ($50) a month beginning September 13, 1916, and continuing^until further notice, subject to the-rules of the Civil Service Commission. (October 21, 1916.) Ray, A. B., Research Assistant in the department of chemistry, for "fen months beginning September 1, 1^18, at a salary of one thousand dollars ($1000) for the period. (September 2, 1916.) Rayson, E. C , Auditor in the Comptroller's Office, 15, 1916, or as soon thereafter as he may report for until further notice, subject to the rules of the Civil at a salary of fifteen hundred dollars ($1500) a year. beginning September duty, and continuing Service Commission, (September 8, 1916.)

Redenbaugh, H. E., Graduate Assistant in Chemistry, for ten months from September 1, 1916, at a salary of. three hundred dollars ($300) for the period. (September 2, 1916.)
