DEAR SIR :

I enclose a schedule of the coal bids received for our 1916-17 supply. Contracts will be made with the Sharon Coal Company for their entire output at $1.18^ per ton and with the Danville Collieries Company, the next low bidder, for 10,000 tons at $1.35 per ton. In order to avoid an oversupply of coal in September, shipments from the Danville Collieries Company are to be made during the eleven months beginning October 1, 1916. Very truly yours,
