(1) A recommendation t h a t Mr. F r a n k l i n W. Marquis be appointed associate in Railway E n g i n e e r i n g in the E n g i n e e r i n g E x p e r i m e n t Station, w i t h a salary a t the r a t e of eighteen h u n d r e d dollars ($1,800.00) a year, as provided in t h e budget of J u l y 8, 1911 (page 448), for two y e a r s from Sept. 1, 1911, t h e work and salary to begin as soon as Mr. Marquis may be able to report for service.
