versity's Farmers' Hall of Fame, and convened for the transaction of business in the Trustees' Eoom, Natural History Building, at 9 :00 a. m. on Thursday, January 26, 1911. The following members of the board were present: President Abbott, Mr. Anthony, Mrs. Bahrenburg, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Grout, Mr. Hatch, Mr. Hoit. President James was present.

AUTOMATIC SIGNAL SYSTEM.

Mr. H. H. Gross, of the Hahl Automatic Clock Co. of Chicago, was heard with regard to the installation of a clock and automatic signal system in the University buildings.

LEGISLATIVE ASKINGS.

On motion the board went into committee of the whole for the further consideration of legislative appropriations to be asked from the General Assembly. The session of the Committee of the Whole lasted through the morning and was resumed after a recess for luncheon. The same members of the board who were in attendance in the morning were present in the afternoon; but Mr. Anthony left before the Committee of the Whole adjourned to report. President James ,was present. On adjournment, the Committee of the Whole recommended to the board that the board ask the Forty-Seventh General Assembly for the following appropriations for the biennium beginning July 1, 1911:
