Voted that said pedestal be made and t h a t the sum of forty dollars ($40) be appropriated to meet the expense of the same.

DINING HALL UNDER VESTIBULE OF AUDITORIUM.

13. Recommendation that the space in the Auditorium underneath the memorial vestibule be plastered and finished with a concrete floor, and properly lighted with electric lights so that it can be used as a dining hall. Voted to refer said recommendation to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds with power to act.

ANNA J. VOODRY WILL.

14. Report from the counsel of the University, Judge O. A. Harker, relating to the will of Anna J. Voodry. Voted that the counsel of the University be instructed to. protect the interest of the University in this case.

SCHOLARSHIPS" IN COLLEGE OF LAW.

15. Communication from the dean of the College of Law in regard to the students in the College of Law entitled to scholarships for excellence of work. Voted on motion of Mrs. Alexander t h a t the comptroller of the University be authorized to pay the amount of full scholarships to P . A. Wilson, 0 . Barth, F . P . Benjamin, B. A. Strauch; of half scholarships to J. L. McLaughlin, J . M. Powers, W. J . Earnett, C. A. Braden, G. E . Dewey; the full scholarships amounting to full tuition and the half scholarships to half tuition upon certificate from the dean of the College of Law that said parties are entitled to the full or half scholarships respectively.

CONTRACT FOR PRINTING UNIVERSITY STUDIES.

16. Communication from Dean Kinley recommending that a contract for the printing of University Studies be made with tHe Gazette Printing Company. Voted that the proper officers of the University are hereby authorized to enter into such contract with the Gazette .Printing Company.

ASSISTANTS IN THE LIBRARY.

17. Communication from the acting librarian requesting additional assistance in the Library. Voted on motion of Mrs. Alexander t h a t the president of the University be authorized to appoint an order' assistant at a salary not to exceed eighty dollars ($80) a month until Aug. 31, 1909; also a catalogue assistant at a salary not to exceed seventy-five dollars ($75) a month, and a typist at not to exceed fifty dollars ($50) a month until Aug. 3 1 , 1909. I t was voted on motion of Mr. Madden to remit to Sister Mary Benigna $50 of her fees as a special student in the School of Pharmacy. " A communication asking that the affiliation of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Chicago be terminated was received and filed.
