Meeting of June 1, 1910.

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the' University of Illinois was held at the LaSalle hotels in Chicago, June 1, 1910, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the secretary, May 25T 1910: Upon the call of the president, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a meeting of\the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at 12:00 m., Wednesday, June 1, 1910, at the LaSalle Hotel, in Chicago, to give authority for conferring degrees upon those to be graduated from the College of Dentistry, and upon those to be graduated from the College of Medicine, and to. consider such other business as may be dul^ presented, including a committee report on the question of abrogating the contract with the College of Physicians* and Surgeons. When the board met pursuant to this call the following members were present: Messrs. Abbott, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Moore, and Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Busey and Mrs. Bahrenburg; absent, Governor Deneen and Messrs. Blair, Crebs and Meeker. President James was present. The secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of April 12, 1910,. and they were approved. The Committee on Buildings and Grounds made the following report: BOILER HOUSE AND ENGINE FOUNDATION. , April 12, 1910. To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Professor James M. White, supervising architect, has received bids upon the electric wiring of the boiler house as follows: Marrs-Tanner Electric Co $ 865 00 For arc light alternate, add 30 00* Bateman-Garrison-Maddox Co 1,214 501 For arc light alternate, deduct 35 00He also received a bid from English Brothers of Champaign, Illinois, for the engine foundation 744 00" Your committee authorized awarding the contracts in accordance with theabove bids.
