Shattuck, Comptroller: DEAR SIR—I have the honor to inform you that Fred Kauffman, Chicago, 111., contractor for University uniforms for the years 1907-8 and 1908-9, has completed his contract to my entire satisfaction. It is suggested that the time is approaching when it will be necessary to call for bids for uniforms for the ensuing two years. Yours very respectfully,

APPROPRIATIONS.

On motion of Mr. Grout, appropriations were made as requested by the comptroller in his Paper " I / ? the vote being as follows: Yeas, Messrs. Abbott, Davison, Grout, Hatch and Moore, and Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, none; absent, Governor Deneen, Messrs. Crebs, Blair and Meeker.

CADET UNIFORMS.

Dr. Davison moved t h a t the president, comptroller and Colonel Fechet be authorized to make a contract for furnishing uniforms for the University regiment for the two following years on receipt of a satisfactory bid and bond for tlie faithful performance of the contract. Mrs. Busey moved to amend that the committee get bids and report the same to the board. The amendment was lost, and the original motion prevailed.
