LECTURE AND MUSEUM BUILDING IN THE COURT OF NATURAL HISTORY BUILDING. 3. A request from the professors in the College of Science that the Board of Trustees erect in the court of the present Natural History building a building to be known as a lecture room and museum building, 55x46 feet, and three stories high, in accordance with the general plan herewith submitted by Supervising Architect White, this building to contain a basement, a lecture room to seat .two hundred persons, and a museum room over the lecture room. The money for the erection of this building will be available out of the appropriation for the addition to the Natural History building, if the furnishings of the building can be provided for from other funds. By the following vote this request was approved and referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds for investigation and with power to act in case the •proposition was found feasible and advisable; but on condition that the plans which have been approved in a preliminary way for the fan ventilating apparatus be not carried out at present and that the sum set apart for this purpose be devoted to the building of this lecture room and museum addition: Yeas, Messrs. Abbott, Blair, Crebs and Lehman, and Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Busey; nays, n o n e ; absent, Governor Deneen and Messrs. Davidson, Grout, H a t c h and Meeker. The board adjourned.
