APPROPRIATIONS.

On motion of Mr. Lehman appropriations were made as recommended by the comptroller in paper " I " above.

BY-LAWS OF THE BOARD; STATUTES.

On motion of Mr. Lehman it was voted that a committee be appointed to revise the by-laws of the board and also the University statutes. President Abbott appointed on this committee Messrs. Lehman and Hatch and Mrs. Evans, President James, and Mr. Pillsbury.

LAWS KEGARDING THE UNIVERSITY.

On motion of Mrs. Busey the secretary was directed to prepare a new edition of the United States and State laws with regard to the University.

ELECTRIC TEST CAR.

On motion of Mrs. Busey, the Committee on Engineering was directed to see about getting the use of interurban tracks by the University test car.

EULES W I T H KEGARD TO THE WOMAN'S BUILDING.

Mrs. Busey from the Committee on Student's Welfare reported that it was advisable to make some changes in the rules regarding the use of the Woman's Building. She therefore moved that the present rules with regard to the use of the building be suspended, and that the Committee on Students' Welfare, with the Dean of Women, be authorized to revise said rules, and the motion was adopted.

MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT JAMES.

The president submitted the following matters for consideration:

COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE. 1. A recommendation from the dean of the College of Agriculture and director of the Agricultural Experiment Station that the comptroller be authorized to draw a warrant of five thousand dollars ($5,000) against the State college fund in favor of the funds for dairy investigation, in order to reinburse the latter fund for expenditures incurred by the expenditure on the house and barn authorized for experiments in intensive dairying on the south farm.
