Voted that said resignation be accepted., HARRY GILL, ASSISTANT IN PHYSICAL TRAINING. President Abbott presented a letter from Mr. F. J. Postel, secretary of the University of Illinois Alumni of Chicago, with reference to Mr. Gill Assistant Director of Physical Training". The letter was referred to President James.

Actuary. 2. Statement of Henri J. Van den Berg on the publication of the Musiclovers Calendar. This report indicates that there will be no money returned to" the University from the appropriation of $400 made in support of the publication. 3. Letter of D. A. K. Steele and others transmitting certain bills for valuation of property, amounting to $65.00, for which the board is requested to make appropriations. 4. Letters of Fred Kaufman asking that his contract for furnishing the cadet uniforms be continued for the second year. I t is the opinion of Lieut. Col. Fechet that the best interests of the University will be served by so doing. I agree with this opinion. The board is requested to take some immediate action in the matter. Respectfully submitted,

Comptroller. ^ The matter of the loan to Mr. Van den Berg was referred to the Finance Committee. The bills referred to in item 3 of the comptroller's report were approved and ordered paid.
