Voted that the president of the University be authorized to confer the degree of graduate in pharmacy upon the persons so recommended by the faculty, and give a certificate to the persons recommended by the faculty for said certificate.

TREASURER'S BOND.

Mr. Henry S. Henschen, of the Chicago State Bank, presented the bond of Mr. H . A. Haugan, treasurer elect, and it was referred "to the Committee on Finance for examination and report. The following resolutions were adopted: AUTHORITY TO ISSUE REQUISITIONS. Resolved, That the president and secretary be directed to draw upon the Auditor of Public Accounts such requisitions as the law requires in order that he may issue to the treasurer of the University his warrants upon the State Treasurer for the sums of money appropriated by the Legislature to the Uni^ versity of Illinois, or to any of its departments. AUTHORITY TO RECEIVE MONEYS. Resolevd, That the treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is hereby authorized to receive and receipt for all moneys, and to endorse all orders, drafts and checks dr.e and payable to the said board of trustees, or to the said University of Illinois, and especially all drafts drawn by the Treasurer of the United States, payable to the said board of trustees, or to the said University of Illinois, on account of the Agricultural Experiment Station of the said University.

APPOINTMENTS.

The secretary reported the following appointments made by President James pursuant to authority given him by the board of trustees: Marcia B. Clay, catalog assistant in the library from January 1 to July 1, 1907, at $60 a month. Christina Denny, reviser in cataloging in the library for three months beginning February 18, 1907, at $50 a month. Blanche E. Phillips, stenographer and clerk in the office of the High School Visitor, from January 14, 1907, until further notice, at $50 a month. Clarence E. Derick, lecturer and research assistant to Professor Noyes, in the Department of Chemistry, for the year beginning September 1, 1907, at a salary of $800 a year. E. K. Nelson assistant in chemistry in the Agronomy department of the Agricultural Experiment Station, at a salary of $1,000 a year, salary and service to begin as soon as he reports for duty. Lois A. Reed to succeed Marcia B. Clay, catalog librarian in the library, from April 1 to August 1, 1907, at a salary of $60 a month. He also reported that the president had notified him of the resignation by Julius F. Krehbiel of his position as instructor in Ceramics, to take effect April 1, 1907.

NAMES OF STUDENTS IN RECORDS, CATALOGS, AND DIPLOMAS.

The following resolution was adopted: Resolved, That the practice of giving the full names of students in the records of the University and in the catalog, and of writing the full name in each diploma is approved, and should be followed in the future.
