R E P O R T OF FEES.

T h e Registrar presented his report of the fees due from University students and Academy students for the first semester of the University year 1905-06. This was referred to the Finance Committee.

FARM MECHANICS BUILDING.

T h e Buildings and Grounds Committee presented- the following report with regard to the F a r m Mechanics Building, and renting Dean Davenport's house, and the report was approved:

URBANA, ILLINOIS, March 6, 1906.

To the Board, of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Your Committee on Buildings and Grounds reports that plans for a new farm mechanics building were presented by Dean Davenport and others. After discussion the committees approved the plans and favored a location in the row of agricultural buildings at the south end of the campus. Professor Case was appointed architect of the building and was directed to get bids for its construction. The chairman and Dean Davenport brought up the proposition to have the University pay the Dean $1,000.00 a year for the use of his house. After discussion it was voted to recommend adversely on the proposition.

APPROPRIATIONS RESCINDED.

T h e following recommendation, adopted at the meeting of January 30, 1906, was rescinded: That a sum not to exceed $7,600.00 be set apart for the payment of salaries in this department (the Department of Railway Engineering) for the academic year 1906-07.
