2. I recommend the reappointment of Mr. Fred Atkinson as Superintendent of Grounds, on one-half time, at $600 a year, from July 1st, and that Mr. Evelyn Atkinson be reappointed Assistant Superintendent at $720 a year. Lectures. I recommend the appropriation of $1,000 to be used in the discretion of the President to meet the expense of any occasional lectures at the University. Incidental Expenses.

I recommend that appropriations for incidental expenses in departments, etc., be made as follows, to be expended on approval of the President and Business Manager: Administrative offices Art and design Physical training Oratorical contests The Illini

Upon the foregoing recommendations the Committee on Instruction made the following report, which was adopted:

To the Board of Trustees: Your Committee on Instruction begs leave to report that it has gone through carefully and critically President D r a p e r ' s recommendations regarding appointments and reappointments of the faculty, including salaries, and with the exception of a single matter regarding the Department of Dairy Husbandry, on which its judgment is suspended for the time being, recommends that the President's report be approved and adopted.
