42 UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS. [Dec 1 1 , I t was voted that the report of the Committee on Legislative Appropriations, as adopted, be in charge of the board as a committee of the whole, with the president of the board, President Draper, and Mr. Bullard as a steering committee. Mr. Bullard offered the following resolution, which was, on his motion, referred to the Committee on Agriculture to be reported upon at the next meeting of the board: WHEREAS, The Advisory Board of the Agricultural Experiment Station has upon its membership a member of the State Board of Agriculture, a member of the State Dairymen's Association and a member of the State Horticultural Society; and, WHEREAS, The Illinois Farmers' Institute is not so represented; and, WHEREAS, It is the belief of this Board that a member of the Illinois Farmers' Institute would be of much advantage to the Advisory Board of the Agricultural Experiment Station of this University; therefore, be it Besolved, That the Illinois Farmers' Institute be requested annually to nominate one of its members to act as a member of the Advisory Board of the Agricultural Experiment Station, the said nominee to be subject to election by this Board.
