This communication was referred to the Finance Committee and afterwards was approved with the exception of the item of $4,000 on "Interest on improvements on high school property." A communication with reference to the creation of the office of Vice Dean in the College of Medicine and the appointment of some one to fill the place was referred to the Committee on Instruction for investigation and report. I t was ordered that an additional night watchman should be employed for the next two months, to be paid not to exceed $2.50 a day. The Board then adjourned to 3 o'clock p. m. AFTERNOON SESSION, J U N E 9, 1902. The Board met pursuant to adjournment in the Trustees' room at the Library building. The same members of the Board were present as in the morning. TREASURER'S REPORT. The Secretary presented the Treasurer's report which was referred to the Finance Committee,
