In recommending loans preference shall be given to those students who are farthest along in their University work and who have shown themselves most assiduous and successful in their studies, and who have shown habitual economy in life. No distinction shall be made among students on account of sex or as to •course of study. A loan shall not be recommended for any student who is believed to have been financially or morally delinquent in any respect. Information given by applicants will be considered confidential on the part of the University authorities. Applications for loans must be addressed to The President of the University, Champaign, or Urbana, Illinois.

Attendance at any professional school; length of time. 10. Graduation from any normal school, any college or university, with date. 11. Graduation from any professional school, with date. 12. Scientific, literary, or professional degrees received, and name of institution conferring them. 13. Collegiate or other scholarships or fellowships that have been held. 14. Name and location of any church or other religious association in which membership is held. 15. Name of any religious society for young people in which membership is held. 16. Membership in any literary or scientific society. 17. Membership in any order, brotherhood, labor union, fraternity, or sorority. 18. Possession of any trade or special skill in any remunerative pursnit. 19. Mode in which vacations are occupied. 20. Experience in teaching in public schools or elsewhere. Salary last received.
