Messrs. R a y m o n d and M o r r i s o n were also a p p o i n t e d m e m b e r s of t h e Advisory Board. O n motion of Mr. R a y m o n d , $500.00 was a p p r o p r i a t e d with w h i c h to make an exhibit at t h e next Illinois S t a t e F a i r , a n d t h e a r r a n g e m e n t s for t h e exhibit were p u t in c h a r g e of t h e P r e s i d e n t of t h e University and the Faculty. On motion of Mr. S m i t h t h e B o a r d a d j o u r n e d to m e e t at 9 o'clock a. m., W e d n e s d a y .

COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS.

Mr. A r m s t r o n g offered t h e following p r e a m b l e and which were a d o p t e d :

resolutions

WHEREAS, The College of Physicians and Surgeons, of Chicago, has made a proposition to the University of Illinois, whereby a department of medicine can be established in connection with said university without expense to the State for maintenance, therefore, be it Resolved, That the University of Illinois shall hereby establish a medical department in the City of Chicago, and that the property known as the College of Physicians and Surgeons shall be leased for that purpose upon terms to be mutually agreed to by committees from the two institutions; that a committee consisting of the President of the University, the Business Manager, and^ three members of the Board of Trustees, to be appointed by the Chairman of the Board, shall be given power to execute a lease upon such terms as they shall agree. O n motion of Mr, Bullard t h e election of a T r e a s u r e r was p o s t p o n e d u n t i l t h e next regular meeting. O n m o t i o n of Mr. Morrison, t h e C o m m i t t e e on F i n a n c e was ins t r u c t e d to p r e s e n t to t h e T r u s t e e s at t h a t m e e t i n g t h e n a m e of a person suitable to be a p p o i n t e d Treasurer.
