The Committee on Buildings and Grounds was instructed to proceed forthwith to make plans and contract for the construction of the heating and lighting plant, keeping within the amount of the appropriation, $80,000.00.

DECORATION OF LIBRARY BUILDING.

The question of the adoption of plans for the interior decoration of the new library building being under consideration, it was ordered that all plans submitted by artists be rejected and that the entire matter of decorating be referred to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds and the architects with power to act; and that they be authorized to expend not to exceed the sum of $3,500.00 for such decoration; and said sum was appropriated for that purpose. The Board adjourned to meet at the call of the President.
