The rules for the government of the students of the University, as. revised by the executive committee of the faculty, and reported to t h e board of trustees, were approved after amendment, as follows: English literature and history were added to the list of studies enumerated in the fourth paragraph under t h e head of "Studies," etc. In the second paragraph under t h e head of "Order and Discipline,'' the words "by the regent" were stricken out. In the last paragraph t h e word "two-thirds" was changed to threefourths. The following appropriations we made as asked for by Professor Shattuck, business agent, in Paper F . I t was ordered t h a t $500 be paid Professor Bicker as architect of N a t ural History Hall. z Professor Morrow was appointed a delegate to t h e meeting of t h e American Association of Agricultural Colleges and Experiment Stations to be held in New Orleans, November next, and the regent was given authority to appoint a second delegate, if tie should conclude t h a t such an appointment was desirable. If Professor Morrow alone should go, his. expenses are to be paid by the University. If another person goes with him, then such other person's expenses shall be paid by t h e University, and Professor Morrow shall pay his own expenses. The appropriations pf Experiment Station funds were made as asked for in t h e report of the Station submitted to t h e board of trustees by t h e regent on the 13th inst. Also authority was given the Station to make an investigation of t h e bacteriological changes in milk and its products.
