UNIVERSITY

OF ILLINOIS.

The President stated t h a t the Athletic Association of t h e University wished t o present a s t a t e m e n t of the a m o u n t s i t would be necessary t o expend in fitting: up t h e g r o u n d s which the Trustees had assigned for its use. Permission being given, Mr. J o h n N. Chester described in detail w h a t the association proposed t o do and what the work would cost. On motion of Mr. Shawhan, it was voted t h a t $350 be a p p r o priated t o fill and grade the north p a r t of the n o r t h campus. On motion of Mr. McLean, it was voted t h a t the expenditure of this money and the supervision provided for in p a r a g r a p h No. 1 of the article giving the Athletic Association permission t o use p a r t of the n o r t h campus be entrusted t o the Committee on Buildings and Grounds, a n d t h a t Professor Burrill be made a member of the committee in the discharge of this d u t y . On motion of Mr. McLean, it was voted t o go into executive session on t h e election of a Regent. At t h e end of t h e executive session, during which an election of a Regent had n o t been made, the Board adjourned. S. A. B U L L A R D , President.
