On m o t i o n of Mr. Shawhan, t h e executive committee of t h e F a c u l t y was authorized t o a r r a n g e for t h e dedication of N a t u r a l H i s t o r y Hall when completed, keeping the expense within reasonable limits. The executive committee of t h e F a c u l t y was authorized t o reassign r o o m s in University Hall. An a p p r o p r i a t i o n of $40.50 from current funds was m a d e for expenses of modeling in clay in t h e a r t d e p a r t m e n t . The special committee on the p r e p a r a t o r y school m a d e t h e following report: To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. GENTLEMEN: Your committee to whom t h e reorganization of the preparatory department was referred begs leave to make the following report: The preparatory school of the University shall be called The Academy. The courses of study shall extend over two years. The courses preparatory to the COLLEGE OF LITERATURE shall be as follows: 1. To the Schools of English and Modern Languages and of Philosophy and Pedagogy.
