Mr. Kimball's request for leave of absence until September 1 s t was g r a n t e d Mr. H a r k e r , for t h e Committee on Buildings a n d Grounds, rep o r t e d t h a t the committee h a d considered t h e question of t h e site of t h e new drill hall, a n d recommended t h e site named in t h e Regent's report. The recommendation was a d o p t e d . The B o a r d then adjourned, t o meet a t t h e University p a r l o r a t 9 o'clock a. m. t h e next d a y .

SESSION WEDNESDAY MORNING.

The Board met p u r s u a n t t o adjournment. The members present Tuesday, except J u d g e H a r k e r , were present. Mr. S. M. Millard was also present. The Auditing Committee presented these r e p o r t s :

To the Board of Trustees, University of Illinois. Your committee would respectfully report t h a t it has examined and compared t h e books of the Treasurer with the warrants drawn upon him for the past two years, beginning March 1, 1887, with No. 489 to 950, to September 1, 1887, No. 1 to 925 up to September 1, 1888, and No. 1, to 425 up to March 1, 1889, and found all to be in order and correct. The warrants have been cancelled and left in the hands of the Treasurer.

Your committee would respectfully report t h a t it has examined and compared t h e books of the treasurer with t h e warrants drawn upon him for the past two years from the funds .belonging to the Agricultural Experiment Station, No. 1 to 153, up to June 30, 1888, amounting to $15,000, and No. 154 to 283 inclusive, to December 31,'1888, amounting to $6,834.63, and found all to be in order and correct. The Finance Committee presented t h e following r e p o r t , which was on motion a p p r o v e d : To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois. Your Committee on Finance reports t h a t it has examined the Business Agent's report, and the vouchers accompanying the same on which University warrants have been drawn, Nos. 401-625, and finds them correct as reported.
