Candidates for t h e College of N a t u r a l Science should be eighteen years of age, and m u s t pass satisfactory examinations in t h e common school branches, a n d in t h e studies of t h e preliminary year. Their preparation should be especially good in t h e scientific studies of t h e preliminary year. Practice in t h e drawing of n a t u r a l objects will greatly facilitate t h e students progress. A knowledge of t h e L a t i n language is a good p r e p a r a t i o n for t h e mastery of t h e scientific terms which must be learned in t h e course. SCHOOL O F CHEMISTRY. This school aims t o i m p a r t such knowledge of chemistry a s will enable t h e student t o apply t h e principles of t h e science t o the related a r t s , a n d a s will fit him for original research, or for t h e business of t h e druggist, pharmaceutist, a n d practical chemist.
