On motion of Mr. Cobb t h e m a t t e r of the back rent of t h e Griggs farm was referred t o the Business Agent, with power t o collect. Mr. Bennett reported orally as t o the Minnesota lands, t h a t circulars showing terms of sale, etc., had been issued, b u t t h a t so far no bids h a d been received. He said further t h a t some one, with a u t h o r i t y t o lease for one year lands in Pope county already broken, should visit the lands a b o u t the time when t h e spring's work begins in t h a t localrtyy. On motion of Mr. Edwards, t h e committee was instructed t o send one of its members t o visit t h e lands a t the time named, and one hundred dollars was appropriated from current funds for his expenses.
