By comparing the tables for the three years it will be seen that there were very great differences in the yield. The average yield per acre for the whole tract was 21.33 bushels in 1871; 66.00 in 1872, and 48.38 in 1873. The average weight of the ears in the three years was: .33, .50, and .56 of a pound.
