95 He also reported available funds to meet these expenses, as follows: Due Jan. 1st, coupons upon $125,000 of Illinois 6 per cent, bonds $3,750 00 Rents from farms 500 00 Leaving the probable expenses unprovided for $20,174 00

The Committee recommended the sale of $20,000 of Champaign county bonds, to meet these expenses. The Committee also recommend the sale of 100,000 acres of the land scrip, at 90 cents per acre. The report was accepted by vote of the Board.

SALE OF SCRIP VOTED.

On motion or Mr. BURROUGHS, that portion of the report which related to the sale of land scrip was adopted. Mr. BROWN moved that the Treasurer be directed to sell the one hundred thousand acres of scrip at ninety cents per acre, as recommended by the Committee. Carried.

SALE OF BONDS O R D E R E D .

Mr. JOHNSON moved that the Treasurer be authorized to sell twenty thousand dollars of Champaign county bonds, as recommended in report of the Finance Committee, at a price not less than par. The motion prevailed.

LOCATION OF SCRIP AUTHORIZED.

Mr. FLAGG moved that the Treasurer and Finance Committee be authorized to locate not to exceed twenty-five thousand additional acres of the scrip. Carried. Mr. HARDING asked to be excused from farther attendance at this meeting; which was granted.
