Food Science “ I’m a chemistry person, but I found the general curriculum of Chemistry not exciting. Food Science classes teach all of my favorite things about sciences in an application-oriented manner.”

ACES Student Council and more than two dozen student organizations offer ample opportunities for students to build leadership skills. Students can earn a leadership certificate and participate in free leadership programs through the Illinois Leadership center.

Outstanding faculty

Award winning faculty in research and education provide the foundation for an excellent education. 95% of classes in the College of ACES are taught by faculty members or academic professionals.

Accessible administration

Through the Lunch with the Deans program, students have the opportunity to get to know the college administration. Many of the Associate Deans also serve as advisors for student organizations.
