T w o reports were issued d u r i n g the past year which I believe will come to be regarded as milestones in the history of the University. I refer to the preliminary report of the University Study C o m m i t t e e on F u t u r e Programs a n d to the report of the University Building P r o g r a m C o m m i t t e e on R e q u i r e m e n t s for the D e c a d e , 1959-69.
