Va. Katherine Kirtley Weed, B.S. '29, resigned her position as librarian of t h c Davtona Beach, Fla Library in June and is now teaching in the department of Library Science at the Florida State College for Women at Tallahassee, Fla. Geraid H. Sandy, B.S. '29, M.A. '32, and Mrs. Sandy (formerly Margaret poon, B.S. '31, M.A. '34) are the parents of a girl, Judith Ellen, born tovember 13, 1938. Harold W. Hayden, B.S. '29, resigned his position as supervisor of the Departmental Libraries at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City, to become librarian of Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa. M. Malvena Evans, B.S. '29, resigned her position in the catalog department of the University of Missouri Library at Columbia, Mo., in August, to become head of the catalog department of the Tyrrell Public Library at eaumont, Tex. _ H a z e l Irene Beale, B.S. '29, resigned December 1, 1938, as librarian of the Louis Latzer Memorial Public Library, Highland, 111., to become ibrarian of the Community H i g h School Library at W e s t Frankfort, III, anuary 1, 1939. Irma M. Woods, B.S. '30, has resigned as librarian of the Winterset, Iowa, Public Library, to become librarian of the Iowa State Law Library at Des Moines, la. Miss W o o d s started her new duties January 15, 1939. Alice B. Wesley, B.S. '30, librarian of the Chula Vista, Calif., Public Library since March 1936, was married in the "Wee Kirk of the Heather Church" in Glendale, Calif., to Mr. T h o m a s M. Little, chief hybridist of Burpee Seed Company, November 19, 1938. Mr. Little is a graduate of Bucknell University and did post graduate work at Cornell and University of Florida. They expected to move to Lontoc, Calif., this spring but have been detained in Chula Vista owing to the very serious illness of Mrs. Little. During a trip to Arizona she contracted typhoid fever which ran into double pneumonia. H e r many friends will be glad to know that her recovery now seems assured. Ruth M. Rothenburger, B.S. '30, was married July 23, 1938 to Mr. M. S. Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson has been awarded a Canadian Research Fellowship to work at the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, 1938-39. Elise Gathings Robinson, B.S. '30, and Mr. Robinson, are living at 2*4-20-57 Avenue, Little Neck, L. I., N. Y. W e have just learned they have two-year old s o n Rutillia J. Eubank (Mrs. Dewitt Branch), B.S. '30, has accepted a position in the catalog department of the Kemp Public Library at Wichita Falls, lex. Paul Howard, B.S. Mary Lucille Nickell, B.S. '30, resigned her position in the catalog department of the University of Chicago Library and in September became senior cataloger in the Southern California Library, Los Angeles. Her |*ddress is 3789 Menlo Avenue, Los Angeles. k Vera Jensen Smith, B.S. '30, is librarian of the Bushwick Branch of the fublic Library Bushwick Avenue and Seigel Street, Brooklyn, N. Y. Mr. m l Mrs. Smith are living at 9935 Third Avenue, Apt. E5f Brooklyn. L . Elva Krogh, B.S. '30, M.A. '32, has resigned from the W.P-A. Research library and is now in thc cooperative cataloging division of the Library ot Congress. She writes that they are quite thrilled over the prospect of j i v i n g into the new building which is much more modern in every way. Her address is 32(X) 16th Strert N.W., Washington, D. C.
