When Lawrence Hertzbcr* takes over the management, he will be the third generation of the Hertzberg family to carry on the high ideals of the founder of the firm. SPECIAL SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE INDEX [ am starting to compile an index to the special subject knowledge of our alumni. We are having an increased number of calls asking for very specific information as to amounts of training in given fields, and it is difficult to find this data without checking lengthy transcripts. Besides, our records often do not include information concerning special study since a student has left here. I should be glad to have notes from those of you who do have special subject equipment, especially from those of you who have not been here recently. I am also interested in listing all alumni who have had any experience in the teaching of Library Science. If you write me, do tell me the schools or libraries at which the teaching has been done, and describe the work briefly, that is. give me some idea as to the number of classes in the session, the brevity or completeness of the course, and the objective, e.g., for teacher training, for school librarians, for accredited library courses, for orientation. If there are graduates who are willing to serve in a secretarial capacity in addition to library duties, I should be glad to have them so indexed. A knowledge of stenography and typing is necessary in this case.

ALUMNI REUNIONS ILLINOIS The Illini present at the meeting of the Illinois Library Association in November at Rockford, Illinois, gathered together for a breakfast at the Faust Hotel. The following were present: Hazel I. Beale, Thelma Van Ness, Mary J. Booth, Dorothy Busch, Amelia Krieg, Lois Farr, Mary C. Bigelow, Ethel Bond, Evelyn Ball, Grace M. Murray, Ethel G. Kratz, Alice B. Wesley, Helen Beckworth, Emma Scheffler, Elizabeth Windsor, Leora J. Lewis, Vera J. Smith, sabel G. Home, Helen Norris, Dorothy Johnson Scoville, Julia Lind, Anna fay Price, Nelle Steider Skinner, Doris Foley, Maybelle Leland, William Baehr, enry Coleman, Wintress Brennan, Ruth Hardin, Nellie Parham, Katharine Vdams, Elizabeth Curry. Mr. and Airs. Windsor were also present. MINNESOTA The Illini who met at the Minnesota Library Association dinner on the 10th of October had a very pleasant time. We sent greetings to Mr. Windsor. There were only six present but we hope for a larger reunion next time. Aliss Starr was unable to be present at the dinner or any of the meetings owing to illness. She had worked very hard planning the fine program for the meeting. Previous to the meeting, I sent out a circular letter to all the alumni in my district. The following were present: Isabelle T. Anderson, Bessie Medd, Amy C. Moon, I. Charlotte Campbell, all of St. Paul; Lynne G. Worth of Duluth, and Amy Penrose of St. Cloud. AMY C. Moox KENTUCKY The graduates of Illinois Library School who have positions in Kentucky held their fourth annual meeting at the regular meeting of the Kentucky Library Association in Owensboro, October 11 and 12. Since most• of , our- time - was « . , « taken up by the program of the Association, we arranged to sit together at the Book Dinner. We always enjoy getting together in an informal way There were eight present and we are quite proud of the fact that we again had one hundred percent membership in the Illinois Alumni Association.
