Upper Peninsula Library Association Ethel Binney, librarian of Menominee, Michigan, was President of the Association 1931-32. ALUMNI GOSSIP I J Sarah Elizabeth Montross, '97-'99, a member of the staff of the John Crerar Library from 1899 to 1931, died on September 11, 1932. She was a member of the first class of the Library School after it moved to the University of Illinois from Armour Institute, Chicago, in th<. fall of 1897. I Sarah Ambler, B.L.S. '00, librarian of the Superintendent of Documents Office since 1907, retired from active work in June. The staff of the documents department gave a party in her honor and presented her with a twenty dollar gold piece as a mark of the appreciation and friendship. I Linda Clatworthy, B.L.S.
