NEW LIFE MEM HI RS IRKNE DOYLE ALUMNI M E E T I N G A T N E W O R L E A N S The annual dinner meeting of the Illinois Library School Association was held Wednesday evening April L 1932, at / : 3 0 p.m., in New Orleans at the Patio Royal. Miss Shortess, the president, presided One hundred eighteen people were present, including the following New Orleans guests who were introduced by the president: Mr. and Mrs. Usher, Mr. and Mrs. Bowman, Miss Virginia Fairfax, and Mrs. Oswald McNiecc. Greetings were read from Mr. Windsor and Mr. Wilcox. Miss Shortess expressed the regret of the Association at Mr. Windsor's absence, but presented Mrs. Winsdor as his representative. A motion to waive the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was approved, since these minutes had already been printed. A brief report of the secretary-treasurer was read by Miss Hostetter, and the trustee's report by Miss Price. It was reported that a total of 194 life memberships had been secured to date, and that only 185 alumni had paid annual dues this year. The nominating committee proposed the following names for officers for the coming year. They were unanimously elected. EXECUTIVE BOARD 1932-33 Jerome K. Smith, University of Michigan Library, Ann Arbor, Second VicePresident. Josie B. Houchens, University of Illinois Library, Urbana, Secretary-Treasurer. Lois F. Shortess, Education Department, Baton Rouge, La., Member Ex-officio. Irustees of Endowment Fund—J. S. Cleavinger, 1932-35; Margaret Hutchins, 1930-33; Anna May Price, 1931-34. The secretary was instructed to send greetings to both Miss Simpson and Mr. Windsor, and also to Miss Conat and Miss England, who had been in an automobile accident.
