not make any payment of talarie* or commission* or si*n any printing contract or make any schedule of advertising rates not previously approved by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and in accord* ance with the advertising rstes of the Agricultural College Magazines, Associated, of which the Illinois Agriculturist is a member. He shall render a full report of the business of the Illinois Agriculturist to the Board of Directors at the end of each semester of the school year, and at such other times as may be reuested. He shall close his accounts and deliver to lie Company before July 1 all moneys, books, and other properties belonging to themselves, including an itemized statement of all outstanding accounts. 9. Salaries shall be paid from the net earnings of the magazine in equal quarterly installments, amounting per annum aa follows: Editor, $100.00; Business Manager, $100.00. *i m 10. Any sum remaining to the credit of the magazine after all bills for the year have been paid or deducted, and not later than July 1, shall hare been assigned to the Company, to be apportioned and appropriated by the Board in the following manner: (a) two-thirds to the staff; (b) one-third to the Com. Provided that all such funds in excess of $1 all accounts receivable still outstanding on July 1, shall accrue to the Company. 11. These By-Laws may be amended, as conditions warrant such a change, by the action of the Board of Directors in regular meeting. u Chemist Publication of the Illinois Chemist has been temporily discontinued. ri PHYSICAL EDUCATION 104. Excusing from Physical Education The Dean of Men may excuse from the required physical education such men students, and the Dean of Women such women students, as are doing manual labor or present other legitimate reasons; they may also give permission to defer physical education for the current year. Men and women students entering the University with sophomore standing may be relieved from the requirement in physical education in one year and from the hygiene requirement. Those entering with junior or senior standing may be relieved from the entire requirement in physical education. 105. Admission to Gymnasium of Students Excused Students excused from the prescribed physical education are not allowed to exercise in the gymnasium except by spec il permission of the Dean of Men for men ami the Dean of Women for women.
