15. Miscellaneous Rooms.—In addition to the laboratories there are offices in the building accommodating thirty-five members of the teaching and research staff. The general office of the Theoretical and Applied Mechanics department is in this building. A conference room is provided for department and committee meetings. There are five class rooms, five computing rooms and two instrument rooms used for student work. Two fireproof vaults are used to store department records and experimental data. 16. Facilities for Cooperative Investigations.—The various research laboratories of the building are used for both the research projects of the Engineering Experiment Station, and for special cooperative investigations financed by organizations outside the University. There are at present 16 cooperative investigations in progress in the building. The following list of the titles of these investigations gives an idea of the scope of the work:
