This 240-seat room* provide up- I tern to-date facilities for the department of home economics and other groups at the University of Illinois. From time to time both faculty and students use it. Foam cushioned seats are stair-stepped up toward the back of the auditorium so the view is about the same from all points. Modern curtains on the stage give an > attractive backdrop for style shows in which home economics students often model clothes they have made in classes. A second set of curtains toward the back of the stage can be pulled and blackboard behind them can be used. The auditorium stage carries electrical outlets so that equipment can be installed for demonstrations. Equipment laboratories are located in the first floor close to the auditorium.
