Ceremonies To Start April 4; Registration In Bevier Hall

A new era in home economics education and research for people in Illinois and throughout the country will begin with the dedication of the new University of Illinois home economics buildings April 4, 5, and 6. The new buildings, Bevier Hall and the Child Development Laboratory( will house the teaching, research, and extension activities of the University of Illinois department

The new University of Illinois Bevier Hall houses the teaching, research, and extension activities of the department of home economics. The modern facilities In this six-story building provide for expanded programs that will lead the way to better home and family living for the people of Illinois and throughout the country.

Few colleges or universities in the United States have more modern or complete home economics facilities than those at the University of Illinois. Bevier Hall, one of the most modern buildings on the University of Illinois campus, is named in memory of Isabel Bevier, pioneer home economics educator who joined the University staff at the turn
