36. Colonel Robert H . Morse Foundation, $3,000 for six scholarships of $500 each for juniors and seniors in engineering for the academic year 1955-56. (These scholarships were formerly known as the John Morse Memorial scholarships.) 37. Mother's Association, University of Illinois, $260 for scholarships for the academic year 1955-56. 38. Old Ben Coal Corporation, Chicago, $100 for scholarships in mining engineering. 39. Parade Ground Residence Association, University of Illinois, $200 to establish a scholarship to be awarded each semester to a male student, the award to be $100 a semester. 40. Henry A. Petter Supply Company, Paducah, Kentucky, $200 for scholarships in mining engineering. 41. Pi Kappa Lambda, music fraternity, $300 for scholarships in music. 42. Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Company, Library, Pennsylvania, $500 for a scholarship for a freshman in chemical engineering for the academic years 1955-56 and I956-5743. Praetorian Alumni Association, $loo for a scholarship as a memorial to Myron I. Silverman who died in Korea. (The Praetorian Society is an organization of students residing in the University's Men's Residence Halls. This gift comes from the alumni of the Society.) 44. The Presser Foundation, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, $250 for a scholarship in music for the academic year 1954-55. 45. Procon, Incorporated, Des Plaines, $500 for a scholarship in engineering for the academic year 1955-56. 46. Radio Corporation of America, New York, New York, $100 to add to the undergraduate scholarship fund. 47. Ralston Purina Company, St. Louis, Missouri, $500 for the Ralston Purina Scholarship to a senior in the College of Agriculture for the academic year 1955-56. 48. Rock Island County University of Illinois Mothers Association, $100 for a scholarship to a student attending the University from the metropolitan area of Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, or Silvis for the academic year 1955-56. 49. Scully Foundation, Chicago, $250 for a scholarship in mechanical or industrial engineering for the academic year 1955-56. 50. Sears-Roebuck Foundation, $4,425 for scholarships in the College of Agriculture. 51. Sinai Temple Congregation of Champaign-Urbana, $50 for a scholarship in music. 52. Square D Company, Detroit, Michigan, $700 for a scholarship in electrical engineering for the academic year 1955-56. 53. Student Organization Fund, $500 for scholarships. 54. Tomahawk Fraternity, University of Illinois Chapter (Tomahawk is a national sophomore activity honorary), $326 for a scholarship to a male student. 55. Union Carbide and Carbon Chemicals Company, Texas City, Texas, $380 for the renewal of a senior scholarship in chemical engineering for the academic year 1955-56. 56. Universal Oil Products Company, Des Plaines, $1,000 for scholarships for senior students in chemical engineering for the academic year 1955-56. 57. Alpha Chron, a sophomore honorary of the Women's Group System, $500 for five grants-in-aid ($100 each) to women students. This fund is the proceeds from the Watcheka Sing, an independent women's sing given during the Mothers Day week end. 58. Mrs. Wilbur H . Coultas and family, $1,083.35 for the Wilbur H . Coultas Memorial Fund. This is an endowment fund, the income to be used for awarding a prize to an outstanding senior in the College of Agriculture. At the end of twenty-five years the University may continue the prize or shall be free to use the principal for agricultural research, equipment, or in any manner best meeting the needs of the University at that time. 59. Mr. O. A. Harker, Jr., one hundred shares of Curtiss-Wright Class A stock to supplement the endowment of prizes in the College of Law established by his late father, Judge O. A. Harker. 60. Illinois Agricultural Association of Chicago, $4,000 to employ a farm safety specialist.
