MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS September 29, 1954 The September meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held in the Blackstone Hotel, Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday, September 29, 1954, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The following members were present: Mr. Cushman B. Bissell, Mr. Harold E. Grange, Mr. Wirt Herrick, Mr. Robert Z. Hickman, Mrs. Doris S. Holt, Mr. Wayne A. Johnston, Mr. Park Livingston, Mr. H. B. Megran, and Mrs. Frances B. Watkins. Governor William G. Stratton and Mr. Vernon L. Nickell were absent. Also present were President Lloyd Morey, Provost Henning Larsen, and the officers of the Board, Messrs. H. O. Farber, Comptroller, C. W. Weldon, Treasurer, and A. J. Janata, Secretary. 45
