2 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [July 17 MEETING O F T H E EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE JULY 17, 1940 The Executive Committee of the Bttfid of Trustees of the University of Illinois met at the University Club, in Chicago, at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, July 17, 1940, during a recess in the meeting of the Board. Mr. Harold Pogue, Chairman, and Mrs. Glenn E. Plumb, member of the Executive Committee, were present; also Mr. Frank A. Jensen and Mr. John A. Wieland, members of the Board, President Arthur C. Willard, and the officers enumerated above. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT WILLARD The Executive Committee considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. CONTRACT C H A N G E ORDERS O N P.W.A. PROJECTS (1) Pursuant to the authorization of the Board of Trustees I have approved the following contract change orders and request confirmation of such approval: Gregory Hall Change Order No. 16, contract with the W. E. O'Ncil Construction Company for general work. (1) Omit acoustical treatment at ceiling of compressor room— Deduct $500 00 (2) Install shelving in Room 300D in accordance with quotation of J u r e 17, 1940—Add $117 So (3) Change glass in stairways from obscure to clear in accordance with quotation dated May 23, 1940— Add 38 52 Total Addition 156 02 Change Order No. 2, contract with the Anderson Electric Company for electrical work. Provide conduit and wire from pull boxes over projection room at rear of auditorium to outlet in ceiling over stage for motion picture speaker—Add Change Order No. 4, contract with Garland B. Fletcher for equipment, Group V. (1) Provide 6 T.24 lamps, C-13D filament spot—Add. . $ 33 00 (2) Credit on omission of six 500 watt mogul base Mazda lamps—Deduct 5 33 Total Addition Illini Union Building Change Order No. 8, contract with English Brothers for general work.
