1450 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [May 24 CONTRACTS FOR EQUIPMENT AND HEATING PLANT AT CONGRESS CIRCLE CAMPUS The following four recommendations for contracts for equipment for the heating plant at Congress Circle were presented and considered separately: contract for high-temperature water boilers, hot water pumps, and erection; contract for refrigeration equipment; contract for condenser water and chilled water circulating pumps; and contract for cooling tower. On motion of Mr. Wilkins, the Board voted that, following consideration of each item, official action on these contracts would be taken by one roll call vote of record. CONTRACT FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE WATER BOILERS, HOT WATER PUMPS. AND ERECTION AT CONGRESS CIRCLE CAMPUS (20) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $235,597 to the International Boiler Works Company, Box 208, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, the lowest bidder, for furnishing and installing two high-temperature water heating boilers and two high-temperature hot water pumps for the heating plant at Congress Circle. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations to the University for 1961-63 from the Universities Building Fund, subject to release by the Governor. T h e University has reserved the right to terminate this contract prior to September 15, 1962, for any reason by giving to the contractor written notice of such termination. I concur. CONTRACT FOR REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT AT CONGRESS CIRCLE CAMPUS (21) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $185,859 to the T. F. Hanley Corporation, 1503 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, the lowest bidder, for furnishing, delivering, and erecting the refrigeration equipment to be installed in the heating plant at Congress Circle. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations to the University for 1961-63 from the Universities Building Fund, subject to release by the Governor. T h e University has reserved the right to terminate this contract prior to September 15, 1962, for any reason by giving to the contractor written notice of such termination. I concur. CONTRACT FOR CONDENSER WATER AND CHILLED WATER CIRCULATING PUMPS AT CONGRESS CIRCLE CAMPUS (22) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $20,493 to Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company, 135 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, the lowest bidder, for furnishing and delivering condenser water and chilled water circulating pumps to be installed in the heating plant at Congress Circle. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations to the University for 1961-63 from the Universities Building Fund, subject to release by the Governor. T h e University has reserved the right to terminate this contract prior to September 15, 1962, for any reason by giving to the contractor written notice of such termination. I concur. CONTRACT FOR COOLING TOWER AT CONGRESS CIRCLE CAMPUS (23) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $39,230 to Fluor Products Company, Oak Park, the lowest bidder, for furnishing, delivering, and erecting the cooling tower to be installed in the heating plant at Congress Circle. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations to the University for 1961-63 from the Universities Building Fund, subject to release by the Governor.
