1969] U N I V E R S I T Y OF I L L I N O I S 641 for the Cooperative Ministry described the building program contemplated by the church and its relationship to the University, specifically requesting that the Board "endorse the proposal of the Cooperative Ministry of the United Church of Christ for the exchange of the property located at the northwest corner of Daniel and Sixth streets for the property located at the southwest corner of Florida and Orchard streets, and direct the Physical Plant Planning and Construction Office of the University of Illinois to enter into negotiations on the matter of a fair price to be paid to the ministry in addition to the exchange of land." (The church had provided supporting materials in writing for the Trustees some weeks earlier.) After discussion of the proposal and consideration of the presentation, Mr. Clement moved that the Secretary advise the officers of the church that it was the unanimous consensus of those Trustees present that the proposal not be approved; and that formal action on the question would come when a quorum was present — but that the Trustees would not expect a different judgment from the Board at that time.
