MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TBE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS January 2 6 , 1 9 4 4 With Executive Committee Meeting of January 5, 1944 The January meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 1944. When the Board convened, the following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Davis, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Karraker, Mr. McKelvey. Dr. Luken took his place with the Board shortly after the beginning of the meeting. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, and Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of December 18, 1943; also, for record, the minutes of a meeting of the Executive Committee with the Committee on General Policy of January 5, 1944. On motion of Mr. Jensen, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 785 to 828 above, and received for record as printed below. 829
