Mining 61 and 62 are also new.Mining 61 (First Aid) will require 48 clock hours and will be taught by specialists employed by the State Department of Mines and Minerals at its Springfield Mine Rescue Station. Mining 62 (Surveying) will require about eight days of actual surveying under g r o u n d ; the rest of the time will be spent in preparing notes and maps. It will be taught by someone on our own staff. T h e University Senate recommends approval of this combined curriculum, and I concur.
