interest in and to said land determined in the manner provided by law for the exercise of said right and power of eminent domain; and Be It, and It Is Hereby Further Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois that the necessary and appropriate action be taken for the acquisition of said title to said property by said the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and to have the compensation to be paid therefor determined by the institution and prosecution to completion of a proceeding in eminent domain in a court of competent jurisdiction and that the university counsel of the University be, and he is hereby, authorized to proceed accordingly, to institute and prosecute an eminent domain proceeding in the name and on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois for the acquisition of said land and die determination of the compensation to be paid by it therefor, and to employ such special legal counsel, appraisers, and others as he may deem necessary or desirable to assist him in the institution and prosecution of said proceeding.

Resolution Authorizing Condemnation of Property for University of Illinois—Willard Airport

Be It, and It Is Hereby Resolved, Trustees of die University of Illinois, a corporation of die State of Illinois, mat in the County of Champaign, in the State Found, and Declared by the Board of body corporate and politic and a public the following-described property situated of Illinois, to-wit:

Parcel ll-l-E, containing 44.11 acres more or less; and Parcel 11-l-B, containing 16.15 acres, more or less; a tract of land described as follows: The West one-half (WV4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE!4) of Section eleven (11), in Township Eighteen North (T18N), Range Eight East (R8E) of the Third Principal Meridian (3P.M.) situated in the County of Champaign, and State of Illinois, except the North thirty-three (33) feet thereof and except a parcel of land beginning at the Southwest corner of said Northeast Quarter (NE!4) thence northerly along the West line of said Northeast Quarter (NEW) a distance of 1268.47 feet to a corner, said corner being marked with an iron pin monument; dience southeasterly a distance of 1794.56 feet to a corner on the south line of said Northeast Quarter (NE!4), said corner being marked with an iron pin monument; thence Westerly along the said soudi line a distance of 1238.57 feet to die point of beginning; and which excepted parcel contains 18.03 acres, more or less, and which tract of land contains 60.26 acres, more or less; and Parcel 11-1-F, containing 39.89 acres, more or less; and Parcel ll-l-B-1, containing 2.64 acres, more or less; a tract of land described as follows: The West seven hundred six and fifty-diree hundredths (706.53) feet of the East one-half (EW), of the Northeast Quarter of Section eleven (11), in Township Eighteen North (T18N), Range Eight East (R8E) of the Third Principal Meridian, situated in the County of Champaign, and Staite of Illinois, except the North diirty-three (33) feet diereof, and which tract of land contains 42.53 acres, more or less, is needed by the University of Illinois, an educational institution established and supported by the State of Illinois for use as a new airport terminal building complex and as a clear zone approach area for the University of Illinois-Willard Airport and for other educational purposes conducted and to be conducted by said University of Illinois and for die further expansion of die educational facilities
