One carload of roll felt, coal tar, concrete primer, and roof putty for the Physical Plant stock and particularly for use on the new steam line to the McKinley Hospital, from Roofing and Insulation Company of Champaign (Johns-Manville distributors), at a cost of J1.602.79 F.O.B. Urbana. As the materials will be needed in the work on the steam line for the week beginning June 18, an emergency existed and the purchase was therefore authorized. PURCHASE OF PAPER FOR AGRICULTURAL PUBLICATIONS (24) A recommendation that the purchase be authorized of paper for printing the publications of the Agricultural Experiment Station (J1146 to be paid out of special federal funds) and for Smith-Lever publications ($2556 to be paid out of Smith-Lever federal funds). PERC1VAL LAND (25) A recommendation from the Dean of the College of Agriculture that the Department of Dairy Husbandry be authorized to lease 40 acres of land from Mrs. Etta L. Percival for which she is to receive two-fifths and the University three-fifths of the crop. This is the same tract of land leased by the department in previous years. I recommend approval. On motion of Mr. Karraker, this lease was authorized. MEMORIAL TO DOCTOR EDWARD LOUIS HEINTZ (27) The Alumni Association of the College of Medicine wishes to present to the University a likeness of Dr. Edward Louis Heintz done in bronze as a memorial to him. The Committee in charge has engaged a sculptor and has been assured that the plaque will be well executed and handsome, and a memorial befitting Doctor Heintz. It is proposed to place this plaque somewhere at the College of Medicine, probably in the Library. I recommend acceptance of this offer and authorization to hang this plaque in a suitable place in the College of Medicine. On motion of Mr. Barrett, this gift was accepted and authority granted as requested.
